Will the Pitchforks come to Europe Soon?
As EU sanctions against Russian oil begin to bite in Europe; let us take a look at how nations in the region are holding up.
What are the sentiments there and how long will it be before the pitchforks come out? Things are not looking good as you will learn.
As it turns out journalist Jorge Vilches lays it out well in his published open letter to fellow Europeans.
He starts out by saying I beg of you to stop the current self-destructive nonsense dead in its tracks.
Please demand that the political class imports Russian oil as we have done in the past for dozens of decades.
There should have been a referendum at the very least to decide whether to impose sanctions or not; given the severe impact that these were predicted to have. And are having.
But without consultation; the EU leadership acted on their own.
Please be advised that the EU’s unelected brass do not represent you or your needs.
The EU elected themselves; just like members of a committee in a private country club do.
They will continue to play fast and loose with you livelihoods; while they commit to a drawn out conflict that they cannot win.
European leaders crave war, and they cannot think of a better way to provoke it than by applying ever larger and ´meaner´ sanctions on Russia as if; (a) sanctions were effective and (b) as if Europe could win such war.
We now have yet another set of spanking new EU “sanctions” in package №6 that will eventually backfire in Europe´s face; like all the others.
He mentions that no diesel will be followed by the big freeze come winter.
He ends with; for your own benefit please stop the Russia-phobia right now; reverse the current unwarranted course of action.
Otherwise, enter your very own European angry pitchforks with lit torches that will fix this fast. Are you ready?
There is little chance the EU will change course though.
What there maybe will be is an increasing chance of splits in the power structure as leaders are not as nearly united as they appear to be in public.
The prospect of pitchforks in the streets, or worse, as suffering increases among the population will only help these splits along.
