Wikipedia more biased than ever

This nugget comes straight out of the horse’s mouth so be warned.

Online encyclopedia Wikipedia is known to lean left no matter what the topic; now a co-founder warns things are about to take a turn for the worse as they add BLM and other progressive themes.

They will also include contentious material like the 2020 elections and former president Donald Trump’s impeachments; and loads more.

Larry Sanger has also weighed in with how some Wikipedia entries are sourced.

He maintains that they have a globalist, progressive mainstream slant.

Although they sometimes allow more centrist news outlets to be sourced; like The Daily Telegraph, The Wall Street Journal, and The Weekly Standard, they take great pains never to leave the current Overton window of progressive thought.

It’s like a motto of theirs.

Wikipedia relies on unpaid volunteers to edit entries and users’ behavior among other things.

The reason is they want exclusive control over what is thinkable; they the ones who want to set boundaries for what is debatable.

It goes without saying then that they’re biased against conservative input.

So it comes as no surprise to learn that Wikipedia has banned Fox News, the New York Post and Daily Mail as sources.

Other conservative websites such as Breitbart, The Blaze, The Daily Wire, The Gateway Pundit, and Newsmax have also been banned.

It’s not only conservative sources that are banned though, so are libertarian and contrarian ones.

They include sites like; The Federalist, the Daily Caller and Quillette which are mainstream and hardly radical.

It is not too far to say that Wikipedia, like many other deeply biased institutions of our brave new digital world, has made itself into a kind of thought police that has de facto shackled conservative viewpoints with which they disagree,” Sanger wrote in a conclusion on his website.

Sanger and Jimmy Wales created Wikipedia; Sanger gave it its name in 2001. He left the project the next year and he has, for years, criticized the website.
