The Real Purpose of Propaganda; and it is not what you think.

If you think the purpose of propaganda is to persuade you are wrong. We know it’s not to inform, if it were there would be no need for compelled speech. So what is the purpose really?

Propagandists or those who push a certain line don’t have reason on their side, we know it, and by the way they do too.

Their method is to attack those who disagree with them in the hope they will just shut the hang up, or at least go away.

Of course it works better when they in their own group of acolytes where they even more emboldened than usual. Then it is like a rugby scrum, one big pile on.

And when they visit sites where opposing views dominate? Well then they have to drag their devotees along for reinforcement and maybe start a new scrum.

When it comes down to one on one though, not so much.

The less propaganda corresponds with the reality on the ground; or with reason for that matter, so much the better.

The success of the propagandists at last in part, rests on their silencing of people in the face of their most blatant of lies.

Their real success though is getting people to repeat those lies ad nauseam.

I remember reading somewhere that during the Civil War the lies that were told and passed on were so absurd; that not even a twelve year-old child would believe it.

Then like now, when the powers that-be want a war no matter what, that is what they will do. Lie!

The emphasis is on the absurd; these lies are not believable in any rational sense of the word; but it does no stop them trying to push it as hard as they can. Stretching credulity is what it really is.

When the gullible and those who want so desperately to believe these lies endlessly repeat them; they lose something big. And it is something they will have a hard time getting back; their integrity.

The point is that when one assents to obvious lies they in league with evil. This makes them evil in part by their mere association with it.

When people compromise with evil it makes it that much more difficult for them to resist it.

Such a mentality plays into the hands of those who rule society.

A society of weak and unthinking liars who quick to believe anything they are told is that much easier to control.

And to think it starts and ends with lies.

If you have ever thought to yourself that surely people can’t be this stupid when reading something or other on the ‘net; then this is for you.

Yes bot’s are a thing and yes people are stupid, too many of them in fact.

Yet that is not it. The lies are deliberate in many cases and meant to confuse that is the whole point of it.

Prophecy mentions a time when people will love their lies. They will revel in them even. Like a pig soaks up a mud bath; my emphasis.

More than this, they will choose to believe lies; not my emphasis. Because they make this choice they will be given over to a great delusion. That they will believe more lies. And the more absurd the lie, the more they will believe it.

If it needs an explanation delusion is in itself a form of madness.

So first these people will pull the wool over their own eyes then they will go flat out in an attempt to do the same to everyone else.

It goes by the name of self-deception.

What is left to say? Other than interesting, if not somber time’s lie ahead.
