The Military Industrial Complex to Steal U.S. Election?

Political satirist and writer Lee Camp had this to say in a recent tweet;

Whatever you do, keep Microsoft, The Pentagon and Galois the f**k away from the U.S.’s already criminally flawed electoral system.

We want democracy not a militaristic oligarchy.

Yes that’s right, Microsoft have selflessly and patriotically offered to secure the U. S. elections offering software tools to modernize and secure voting giving their product and services the grandiose name ElectionGuard.

Besides the name sounding like some noxious voter repellent, it’s the equivalent of letting the big Tech foxes guard the Electorate hen house.

The election technology is already set to be adopted by half of voting machine manufacturers and some state governments for the 2020 general election.

Wait, there’s a lot more

Election-Guard is alleged to have been developed by companies with deep ties to the US defense and intelligence communities, linked to Israeli military intelligence.

It’s also far from clear how the technology would prevent foreign or domestic interference, the manipulation of vote totals, or any other fraudulent practice.

It seems the Military Industrial Complex may have a hand in things which doesn’t bode well for the U.S. 2020 elections.

In January, Mint Press News published an expose that went viral on a news-rating company known as NewsGuard.

Officially aimed at fighting “fake news,” the report revealed the company’s many connections to US intelligence, a top neoconservative think tank, and self-admitted government propagandists, with its goal of promoting corporate media over independent alternatives.

NewsGuard was among the first initiatives of Microsoft’s “Defending Democracy,” a program created by the Tech giant under the auspices of protecting American “democratic processes from cyber-enabled interference [which] have become a critical concern.”

Through its partnership with Microsoft, NewsGuard has been installed in public libraries and universities throughout the country, even while private-sector companies have continued to avoid adopting the problematic browser plug-in.

Now Microsoft is promoting a new “Defending Democracy” initiative ridden with glaring conflicts of interest in ElectionGuard.

What’s interesting is that the glitches in computerized voting systems have not been taken seriously up till now.

But the proposed solution is just more computerization and complexity — which translates to more control by experts and insiders, though of course this is not mentioned in their PR campaign.

The idea that Microsoft’s ElectionGuard was developed in tandem with a private military and intelligence contractor, whose only investor is the U.S. Department of Defense is concerning.

A Microsoft spokesman described ElectionGuard as a free open source software development kit that’ll make voting more secure and efficient.

He further claimed the system will enable end-to-end verification of elections, open results to third party organizations for secure validation and allow individuals to confirm their votes are correctly counted.

Never has a Microsoft spokesman said so little but implied so much, but what this all means is that ElectionGuard will not just work with electronic votes, but also with paper ballot systems using optical scanners?

Microsoft’s ElectionGuard development partner, cyber security firm Galois, recently received $10 million in funding from the Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to build a demonstration voting system to help evaluate secure hardware DARPA researchers are developing as part of a separate DARPA program.

So Galois can be said to be an extension of DARPA in the private cyber security industry, as well as the private company whose only investor is the Pentagon.

The ElectionGuard software kit is expected to be released later this year on the GitHub platform.

Microsoft’s links to the Israeli military intelligence unit known as Unit 8200 are troubling in that the main developer of a new election software system aimed at protecting U.S. elections from “foreign interference” has close ties to a foreign military intelligence agency.

Following the 2016 election with the much-hyped Russian hacking scandal, federal agencies like the NSA have used that threat to lobby for greater control over American democracy.

This raises even more concerns about whether ElectionGuard’s real purpose is to “secure” American elections for candidates friendly to the establishment, especially the military-industrial complex.

A journalist of Pravda Ru, a Russian online news site offered a startling opinion way back at the beginning of 2016.

Saying it was likely Hilary Clinton would win the elections he predicted the U.S. 2016 Elections could possibly be the country’s last because America might become a vastly different country not too long after.

Did he know something we don’t, was he hinting at a military- oligarchy type takeover a few years later?

Big Tech Censorship

We know big Tech is censoring social media platforms of opinions to the right and center of its progressive views, especially conservative voices.

Just recently an ‘insider’ whistle blower from Pininterest, former Engineer Eric Cochran supplied documented proof of procedures used to shut out moderate political opinions, even religious ones, one example to categorize such content as porn

The pro-life group Action Live was censored by the social media website while the pro-abortion group Planned Parenthood was given free reign.

References to Christianity and Bible verses were also banned.

To protect our users from being targeted based on personal characteristics such as their religion, we have policies in place so that ads and recommendations don’t appear alongside certain terms.’
