Now it’s Morrison Derangement Syndrome
The devastating ongoing bush fires in Australia are a tragedy on an apocalyptic scale but non-stop politicking aggravates the situation and it is clear there will be no let-up on either side, anytime soon.
Police are working on the premise arson is to blame for the devastation, reports 7 News Sydney with authorities forming Strike Force Indarra, comprising of detectives from homicide and arson units in an attempt to find the culprits.
Now more news sites are reporting on the 24 Australians arrested for deliberately starting fires this season.
Another 159 people are facing legal action in the state for not complying with the state’s fire ban or discarding a lit cigarette or match according to the New South Wales Police.
Thus, these are clear-cut cases of malicious intent and criminal negligence.
The trouble is the mainstream Australian press, the Labor Party, the Greens and their allies on the left paint a completely different picture.
They hate Morrison and want him out, so any excuse will do, and the current round of bushfires (something that happens each summer) is a neat excuse.
Scott Morrison is finding himself in the same position as Tony Abbott.
Big sections of the media want him gone, and it’s ugly. Nothing he does will be good enough. Every step, every word, every act, will be ridiculed, dubbed contemptible, broadcast in the most critical light, and the anti-ScoMo narrative will build steam, relentlessly.
So, he visits fire-ravaged communities and he’s a shameless self-promoter.
If he stays away, he’s a useless leader.
When accused of not doing anything he puts out a social media video explaining what the government is doing, only to be derided globally as tone-deaf and insensitive for “advertising.”
As the detracting rhetoric delivers even more hot air into an already fiery atmosphere, Australians divide politically into two camps, either pro Scott Morrison or anti- Scott Morrison.
It is a new mental disorder going by the tag of Morrison Derangement Syndrome affecting the brainwashed and gullible, conjuring up disturbing images of headless chickens aimlessly cavorting about.
The truth is these leftists are still angry Morrison won the election last year just like Americans never got over the election of Donald Trump.
So, just as we have Trump Derangement Syndrome going on in the U.S. Morrison Derangement Syndrome is now a thing in Australia.
Just two days ago, the Guardian and Sydney Morning Herald went into a feeding frenzy with the Prime Minister the target.
It was unbelievably irrational, ugly stuff.
The Greens are really pushing their agenda; maybe their name should be the ‘Gullible Vegetables’ you know, as in SOUP GREENS, with all the weird associations the words throw up.
The Ch.9 evening news story was one long leftist attack on ScoMo, concluding with the take that he needs to start taking climate change seriously.
Conservative Australians are complaining about the verbal pushback from barmy army family members and friends when defending Morrison, insisting it’s nothing short of a vitriolic tirade shocking in its intensity.
Again, this pairs up with the experience of American conservatives who have been dissed and unfriended on social media by relatives.
Of particular concern though is the barefaced exploitation of a national tragedy for political gain behind it all.
In the latest news, a protest planned for Friday in Melbourne targeting Scott Morrison is to proceed despite Victoria Police fears of ‘resource drain.’
The event, organized by Uni Students for Climate Justice, is one of several planned across the country and is expected to shut down parts of the CBD from 6:00pm.
Nevertheless, Acting Assistant Commissioner Tim Hansen urged “fair-minded Victorians” to reconsider attending the climate demonstration, with about 12,000 people having said they would attend according to a Facebook poll.
Organizers of the protest are calling for all firefighters to be paid, aid for affected communities, an immediate transition away from fossil fuels, and the sacking of Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
Temperatures are forecast to again peak across Victoria on Friday, and it’s feared that will help to generate more dangerous fire conditions.
The Opposition’s representative for police and community safety, David Southwick, said the protest was “a kick in the guts to our frontline officers and the broader community”.
Thousands of people have said they would attend similar climate protests across the country in response to the bushfire crisis with about 9,500 people expected to attend the Sydney event on Friday.
Apparently, Uni Students for Climate Justice is planning “rolling demonstrations” across the country “until the Government actually listens to our demands and actually does something around the climate crisis”.
In conclusion, some pertinent words from C.S. Lewis pretty much sum up the hour;
“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
