No Canada is not about to become the 51st State; but here is what Could Happen.

Have no fear Trump will not make Canada the 51st state of the US. The idea is an absurd one on the face of it.

Canada is fractured it seems and at odds and sods. There is a good chance then that a drastic change is on the way.

A North American Union may lie in wait. It will draw in Canada, the US and Mexico. Could this be why Trump wants to change the name to the Gulf of America?

If it comes together it will be the world’s newest political slash trade bloc. This is an old idea. It is not new in case you wondering. Up to this point Trump has not been thought of as a globalist but maybe he has had a change of mind. Maybe his advisors are behind it. It does not matter but expect his foreign policies to reflect this. Could be that he just wants a new emphasis on things.

What he will do is try and work with (globalism); to steer it more in the direction that he wants it to go. Let me modify a bit. To see it as trying to gain some leverage is a better way to look at it.

Trump wants a more balanced world. He sees the need for increased American influence. Not less.

He thinks this will thwart the power of China, Russia and the EU. He wants the US to have a space to influence things. He intends to counteract the trio when and where he can.

This is what it will mean to put America first on the global stage. It sounds too imperial many will say. Well it all depends how you look at it. Just as I have said. Other power blocs will do the same and put their own interests first; it is not unusual. This goes by the name of Geopolitics.

There is another part to all this that many miss. The post WW2 American Order stands in the way of the goals of the globalists. Thus the US as we know it cannot exist. A seat at the table has not been reserved for them. JFK said it best. We are opposed around the world. I’m sure you have worked out which side the world is on. For the slow it stands for globalism.

Trump sees it this way. Either the US gets to make its mark on globalism or globalism gets to make its mark on the US.

Wanting to buy Greenland is part of this strategy.

At the end of the day it will be up to the people there to decide if this is what they want. Even if they choose NOT to take this route, with all this talk they may realize that a clean break with Denmark AND the EU is just one more option for them to think about.

The same goes for Panama.
