France Rejects Woke American Ideology; Part One

It’s time to arise and wakey-wakey from your slumbers.

Folks pay attention this is a very big deal and its implications are huge.

Who’d have thought the day would come when liberal France would reject America’s number one socio-political fad, with Emmanuel Macron blasting it a major threat; to the French Republic and French identity.

Yes, this is about destructive woke ideology, a US export that its culture-vultures deem too good an idea to keep to themselves; and so it must be shared with the world.

Well, part of that world, notably France followed by other parts of Europe are now hitting back with the message; keep your woke out of our universities, other institutions and political life.

The cup of irony tastes delicious in light of the arrogance of the American left who assume Europe is on their side every time; (or at all) and bound to support every madcap idea that comes off the top of their heads, and vice versa.

How did they manage to get it all so wrong?

They’ve been caught napping so they’ve have missed important changing political realities; any European leader that now supports open borders migration commits political suicide; so open borders policies exist no more.

Political Islam remains a threat to Europe with this type terrorism posing a challenge to journalists and citizens alike; combine this with the everyday assaults on European culture as well.

The backlash started when Islamic terrorists tried to justify their actions by invoking the anti-Western sentiments and rhetoric of woke ideology.

French Politicians and prominent intellectuals blame US universities and their social theories on race, gender and post-colonialism as the source of the problem.

To the French, woke ideology is a problem of an existential nature; it threatens their way of life as its values are incompatible with the individual freedoms of traditional liberalism.

Europe, unlike America, does not have this woke addiction even among its youth; more and more young Europeans are rejecting the ideology’s premises outright.

What this war of words shows; there’s a Clash of Civilizations at play on two continents, America is losing their battle but France on behalf of Europe is determined not to, and is weeding out anything that stands in their way.

If this shows anything it’s that America and Europe are different; and so is their political trajectory.

This has important geopolitical consequences but more about this later.

The New York Times describes this intercontinental clash of ideas as; ….a proxy fight over some of the most combustible issues in French society, including national identity and the sharing of power.

And; in a nation where intellectuals still hold sway, the stakes are high.

They have the last part right; the stakes are indeed high, but it’s far from just an intellectual issue.

For now, I’ll end with both a question and a riddle; do you know what time it is?

Ponder well on that question.
