Forget Trump — Conservatives Are the Real Target

U.S. president Donald John Trump is without a doubt the most derided leader in living memory even his erstwhile supporters’ change sides when they decide he has gone a bridge too far for their liking.

Ronald Reagan had an equal number of vocal detractors and George Bush was a clown, but the vitriol against Trump is unprecedented.

It didn’t take long for the pandemic to become the big political football in the game, with Trump’s sanguine approach blamed for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans.

With the most contentious election in modern history just around the corner, the hysteria and the stakes are at an all-time high, which doesn’t bode well for the future whoever wins the elections.

Presidents come and go but the friction between people of opposing political views is here to stay it seems, but perhaps a closer look at what’s really going on is called for.

In the minds of many Democrats Donald Trump is indistinguishable from his supporters, with the latter worse as they the ones responsible for electing him in 2016 and the reason he occupies the White House now.

Instead of writing off support for Trump either as misplaced loyalties or to gainsay the libs just because…….Dems should consider political realities prior to 2016.

Conservatives and Democrats were at odds and sods for some time but by the end of the first term of the Barrack Obama presidency, these differences turned to an unbridgeable schism.

The Democrat Party veered further to the political left as Conservatives floundered fearing for their political futures with Trump seen as their only bulwark against the rising progressive tide.

Conversely, Democrats viewed Conservatives as an obstacle to implementing the long anticipated reforms they hoped for and so the war was on.

Proof of the leftward drift of the Democrats came in the form of Bernie Sanders in 2016; he represented a far-left socialist faction of the party, and surprisingly, he drew considerable support.

Political pundits agree if Joe Biden wins the presidency this year he is bound to give a nod to Bernie Sanders adopting some of his policies.

The Political Purge of Conservatives

If there is a purpose to all of this besides Trump then it has to be the purge of the conservative faction of the Republican Party as a political force for good.

Filmmaker and prominent far left activist Michael Moore said in 2016 that moderate Dems should leave the party insinuating they were out of step with its more left ethos and it’s likely many think it’s time for conservatives to exit the GOP.

The Wiki-leaks revelations about leading conservative presidential candidates in the 2016 race labelled Pied Piper candidates only add to the mystery making one wonder if this was the purpose behind the election of Trump.

It’s possible the DNC was on board with the plan to leak Hilary Clinton’s emails while blaming it on Russian hacking and the Russian so-called collusion with Conservatives.

The goal was two fold, to discredit Clinton in the public eye narrowing her chances of re-election while using the stick of foreign interference to bash conservatives over the head making their election victory seem somehow illegitimate.

This makes sense when it’s realized big democrat donors and other important political players did not want Clinton as president but were forced to go along with it as she was the party’s only candidate.

Her emails were leaked to expose and discredit her with top politicos willing to take a risk and throw the election to Trump in the short term for longer term political gain, and future presidential nominees that did Not include Clinton.

Interestingly, in other documents Clinton is on record mentioning the Russian interference story was a plot to discredit conservatives.

Finally, Donald Trump has announced the declassification of the Russian Collusion, Clinton Email Probe documents to a chorus of objections by leading Democrats.

Later, Trump wrote; I can’t believe these con men are not yet being PROSECUTED,” referring to former FBI officials.

This latest news comes hot on the heels of House Republicans saying they would fight efforts from U.S. intelligence agencies to block the disclosure of classified information surrounding the probe into whether Russia colluded with Trump in the 2016 election.

In fact, Nunes told Fox he would not rule out an overhaul of the entire intelligence community.

There’s no getting away from the reality the rupture in relations between Dems and Conservatives is permanent and irreparable.

The line; talk to the hand, has never been more apt, no one’s listening because truth no longer matters so people just pick their own as they go along.

The idea that Conservatives-and Evangelicals- constitute the biggest threat to the nation is the norm not the exception, with it expressed almost daily on many social media platforms.
