It looks as if King Charles is the new broom that will sweep clean. He most certainly intends to break with tradition if what we have heard so far is true. While changes are to be expected he being his own man and all; some are just suspect.

Now we hear Charles is at loggerheads with the leaders of the Church of England over the role of other faiths at his coronation.

Okay let me spell it out for you; he thinks non- Christian clerics should be allowed to step in and help officiate at the service.

Don’t all shout at once that you saw this one coming?

Yes Charles has said he wants to be Defender of the Faiths rather than the Defender of The Faith.

Thus if he gets his way his coronation will mark the first big break with tradition.

Charles has been told that his desires clash with centuries old canon law which bars Jewish, Muslim Hindu and others faith leaders from reading prayers at the service.

What about the rumours that Charles is a Muslim in secret and that he studied Arabic to understand the Koran?

This whole issue came to a head in the mid-nineties says Middle East Eye; when in ’96 the Grand mufti of Cyprus accused Charles of being a Muslim.

Did you know that Prince Charles has converted to Islam. That’s right the future King of England is a Muslim he said.

It happened in Turkey have you noticed how often he travels there?

Buckingham Palace dismissed the claim as nonsense; though his deep interest in Islam stands out.

He has praised the religion as possessing ‘one of the greatest treasuries of accumulated wisdom and spiritual knowledge available to humanity’

In fact he has addressed so many topics from a yes but what does Islam say angle; that it is quite the eye opener.
