An Off-Duty, Drunk and Armed FBI Agent Shot; and More.

There are two breaking news stories today connected to the FBI and here they are. Before I move on I must point out that they are in no particular order of importance.

A report from NBC in Miami refers.

First, deputies responded to a call about an intoxicated, armed and suicidal man at a Key Largo home; near Mile Marker.

As it turned out he was 48 year old Lane Morgan Caviness, an off duty federal law enforcement officer.

Deputies managed to reach him by phone and he told them that he was intoxicated and ‘prepared to confront law enforcement.’

When they reached him at the given address Caviness pointed a firearm at them, and then the deputies opened fire and shot him.

The Deputies administered first aid but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is not known at this stage which agency Caviness worked for.

Sheriff Rick Ramsay has said that this incident appears to be a ‘suicide by cop, still he has asked for an independent investigation; in line with his normal protocol.

The second incident took place in Cincinnati where shots were fired at the FBI headquarters there by an unknown suspect.

It is said that he tried to breach the facility.

The FBI Cincinnati office has confirmed that an armed suspect had attempted to breach a Visitor Screening Facility; an alarm was sounded and a manhunt ensued.

This led the FBI and Ohio State Highway 60 miles northwest to I-71 and Highway 73 where they managed to catch sight of the suspect; near an open field.

The man decked out in body armor, exchanged gunfire with police,” the Chicago Tribune reported.

Unconfirmed information said to have been shared among agents suggested the suspect possibly brandished a nail gun and an AR-15 style rifle; or so a source told Fox News.

See here is what I don’t understand. This is supposed to be a developing story yet we have heard nothing for about fifteen hours now.

So there was an exchange of gunfire then what happened? Did the shooter run away or was he apprehended? What!

Sorry it just does not add up.

Coincidently this happens one day after FBI Director Christopher Wray blasts critics of the Trump raid; calling them dangerous.

Then he accuses these same critics of making threats against federal agents.

Do they need more time to get their story straight?

I will end off by saying that this is a developing story, ‘kay?
