A Start up Owns Up To Geo-engineering.

You must have heard of Geoengineering. This is one topic that has been around for quite some time. The trouble is it was treated like just another conspiracy theory. In other words mum was the word.

Well another one bites the dust.

Geoengineering is the process of trying to dim the sun in the hope it will stop global warming; funny how they do not refer to it this way anymore.

In this procedure they spray particles of chemicals they call chemtrails high up into the stratosphere. Most of all it brings new meaning to the term man-made climate change. You know the problem they bang on about ad nauseum.

So let’s get this straight, they using man- made climate change techniques to fight what they see as the problem of man-made climate change. Just when we thought man-made is supposed to be a dirty word as far as the climate goes. Consistent they are not; there is something screwy going on. Call it hack the planet and a harbinger of disaster.

I mean what could possibly go wrong with all this, right? Are they even aware of the risks? Or do they not have a clue?

A start-up company by the name of Make Sunsets has said it has begun to release sulphur particles into the stratosphere to try and tweak the climate.

Their plan is to reflect more sunlight back into space; which is a supposed to mimic a natural process that occurs in the aftermath of large volcanic eruptions.

They thinking of carrying out balloon flights to carry and release large chemical loads.

What is more it intends to earn revenue off of it. In a move that is bound to be controversial.

We joke that we partly a company and partly a cult says the co-founder and CEO.

Says one specialist; the current state of science is not good enough……to either accept or reject, let alone implement this.

Then there is this fear of rogue actors……

Talking of rogues Bill Gates is a big funder of Solar Geoengineering research. He hopes to carry out the first high altitude exercise using thousands of planes. He hopes this will create a massive chemical cloud that will cool the planet’s surface.

The company’s co-founder knows this story will result in him being portrayed as the Bond villain; which will be to the advantage of the critics of anthropogenic climate change.

But he does not care. What is scary is he knows nothing of the science but is determined to forge ahead in spite of this. You would be right to call this operation his pet project.

All because climate change is such a grave threat he insists.

He sums up; we are convinced solar geoengineering is the only feasible path to staying below 2 ˚C [of warming over preindustrial levels], so we will work with the scientific community to deploy this tool. What scientific community? There is no consensus on this at all!

And this is just the start.
