A New European League of Nations; could this be it?

In a bold move that just might be the start of a plan to replace the European Union, a league of 44 nations is born.

This project is said to be the brainchild of French president Emmanuel Macron who has had this dream of a unified Europe for quite a while and has said as much.

It looks like a pan Europa is the name of the game here.

This league convened for the first time in Prague Thursday past; and goes by the name of the European Political Community.

One news headline reads; European leaders giddy with new forum; as long as they overlook lingering tension.

It does depend on who you ask but Macron is either seen as a visionary or a would-be dictator with huge illusions of grandeur. There is no middle ground with him.

Cast your mind back to when he was first elected in 2017.

He was an unknown who seemed to come from nowhere to become the president of France. It did not help that he had an extremely high view of himself and made some bizarre statements. He admitted his burning ambition was to rule France. Though that is not the half of it, he wanted to rule like the god Jupiter he said, the tag of the Sun King stuck to him after that. Now if that is not egocentric just what is?

Okay so he has his good points too; like kicking out woke ideology from French educational institutions and his aim to make classical liberalism great again. And to bring back the values of the Enlightenment of course. The by product of all this led to his success in combatting Islamic terrorism.

Oh and he likes to read Greek poetry.

So what do we know about the new kids on the block; the European Political Community? All right it is larger than the European Union which has 27 members; so 5 off double. Then their goals are said to be that of security, stability and prosperity.

You can always tell when a politician has a lot of pull on the global stage; they have a finger in every pie and flit everywhere, like Macron. Now Biden on the other hand……. not at all.

It looks like Macron might be about to consolidate political power and use this group to do the job. So a challenge to the Europe Union it is. Think about it, if he is successful it will make him the de facto head of Europe.

There is every chance we looking at the beginning of the end of the EU and a path to some sort of power grab further down the line.

If he is the man of sin of prophecy this latest move will bring him two giant steps closer to being revealed.

The New York Times says; this new body includes countries like Ukraine and Moldova that are impatient with the long process of securing E.U. membership…….And aims to give a voice to a broader Europe.

Oh and sorry UK, forget Brexit you are included in this league.

This latest idea is typical Macron; a bold, far-reaching and disruptive strategic gamble meant to stir new thinking, even if the end result is uncertain.

Macron hopes the next meeting for this league will be in six months.

Whether Macron is only preparing the way for the man of sin or is the man himself, only time will tell.
